‘Lobster Party’ is a collection inspired by the magical underwater world and the world of natural virgin beaches, which despite their beauty, carry criticism of the “artificial” lifestyle of noble mistresses. But which is, in a figurative sense, the greedy material lifestyle of all of us. The main inspiration for the collection comes from environmental problem in the oceans, mainly coral bleaching.
The materials themselves and the colour scheme of the collection point to the fading of the coral reef due to climate change. These problems are highlighted, for example, by a lightbox bag with the question “Shell we?” in a romantic orange outfit, or on a second lightbox handbag shining from a luxury restaurant that bears the message: “Be Moral and save the Coral!”
This collection feature pieces such as a white silk outfit which sparkles beautifully like reflections of the sun’s rays on the surface of the sea. It is complemented by a shell fastenings and drawstrings that imitate the defence mechanism of fragile sea animals. The most striking outfit, in contrasts of blue and red is inspired by my aunt’s corals necklace, I remember from my childhood which has always been like discovering treasures at the bottom of the sea.

Editorial were made on turn of 2019 and 2020, in the winter on Istrian beaches, not by the coincidence, but deliberately at this time of the year, without tourists, inflatables, caravans, just as the beaches remember it for centuries, just local fishermen and local model Ani Maduna. The paradox is that the winter beach and the sun brought us to the most beautiful summer season in January. It won´t get more beautiful then this. The white silk outfit is beautifully sparkles like a ocean glitter, dancing in the wind like a jellyfish in the water. The orange Lobster outfit, collorfull, strong regenerated element, with the fancy needlework of beads and ostrich feathers, which resemble corals at the bottom of the sea.
The Lobster Party collection does not end, it only transforms and adapts to the conditions…in the summer season it comes to the same places with the difference of crowded beach and outfits faded due to climate change. The same outfits in white colors in the crowd of tourists, colorful deck chairs, inflatables which are getting out of hand… Ups, this photoshoot never happened due to Covid-19 restrictions so this January summer season continued all year long.
